About our Blog

Our blog´s main topic is about the Egyptian Athletes in Egypt and their greatest achievements and success in the world of sport. They are known to be the face of Egypt in almost every country around the world. Staring from the MiddleEast to Asia and then Europe, they proved their talent and ranked the the best places in The Championships. We are proud to say that we are Egytpians and have such influentinal and successful figures that we can follow their steps.

Some of these figures are : Rani Elwani, Omar Asser, Farida Ossman, Aly Mazhar, Ihab Abdel-Rahman and Nour el Sherbini. Those athelets not only succeded in the sports field but they also proved themseleves in many different fields, such as Rania Elwani, who is now a member in the Egyptian Parlimant, Inaddition to be a doctor. Other figures that we will discuss in our blog are for instance: Nour el Sherbini, who is now considered to be the Youngest World Champion. Next we find Aly Mazhar, The founder of the BEFIT Organization. Farida Othman, The World Swimming Champion. Omar Asser: An Egyptian Table Tennis Player. And finally we find, Ihab Abdel Rahman, World Junior Champion.

Egyptian Table Tennis Player: Omar Asser

 Omar Assar was born on the 22nd in July 1991 in Kafr el sheikh. he is an Egyptian table tennis player. He started playing table tennis in al Ahly club at the age of 12. He began his professional career when he was 17. He was ranked in the first place in the African championship two times in a row. He is top seeded as an Arabian and African champ and was ranked the 29th place on the world. He participated in the French, Sweden and Danish leagues. He won the French and Sweden league. His brother Khaled Assar was the first Egyptian to win the Italian league. In the last African championship Omar and Khaled were in the golden square. They were both nominated to reach the finals but Khaled was defeated by a Nigerian player whom played with Omar but Omar defeated him at the end of the championship. Omar was ranked in the first place and Khaled was ranked in the third place.

Former champion swimmer: Rania Elwani

Dr. Rania Elwani, the Egyptian swimmer was born on the 14th of October, 1977 .she started playing at AL AHLI club in Cairo . She also is a former African swimmer recorder for Egypt 1992 , 1996 and 2000. She is an Olympic, as well as a member of the Athlete Committee of the World Anti Doping Agency WADA . She attended and swam for the South Methodist University in USA from 1997 till 1999. She is also a Three-time Olympian in Swimming and participated in the 1992, 1996 and 2000 games. With a semi-finalist finish in 2000 and in the 50 and 100 free, Mediterranean Champion 1997 in the 50 and 100 free, runner-up in the 200 free.

World Championships Long course: participated in Rome and Perth, with a 10 place finish in Perth she is also World Championships Short Course: Hong Kong, 5 th place. World cup Series: 1993-1994 and 1994-1995 Overall ranking as the Second and Fifth. African Champion 1991-2000 Egyptian record holder for freestyle events (50,100,200,400), 100 fly and 100 back. 1991 Arab Champion 1991-2000. NCAA champion, 200 free relay Runner-up in the 100 free, 1999.American Junior National Champion and Swimmer of the meet and record holder, 1993. SEC (Southern Eastern Conference) Champion 1995-1996, U.S.A. she is now a member in the Egyptian parliament.


Egyptian javelin throw: Ihab Abd El Rahman

Ihab Abdel Rahman is an Egyptian athlete that was born in Egypt in 1 May 1989, he is an Egyptian athlete competing in the javelin throw . he is a 1.94 m and 96 kg. he won the African junior championship in 2007 and was ranked the third and also won the 2nd position in the Pan Arab Games and also one the world junior championship in 2008. In 2009,2010,2011 and 2015 he won the golden medal in Jeux de la Francophonie and African Championships, Pan Arab Games and African games. Abdelrhman qualified for the 2016 Olympics in Rio after winning Egypt's first -ever world Athletics championships medal in the Javelin throw in Beijing 2015.

Fitness Embassador: Aly Mazhar

Aly Mazhar is considered to be one of the most influential and inspirational example of converting a passion into a life-long career. He was born on the 15th of January, 1990 and he is the Founder and Head Coach at BEFIT. He is 25 years old and started as a Football player when he was young in Maadi club. And by the age of 12, he started playing against Al - Ahly club and was chosen after that to join the team and that's when it all started and got serious. He kept playing in Al- Ahly club till the age of 16. In 2006, he transferred to Rutgers University in New Jersey and along with his studies in Finance and Economics, he started playing football for three seasons. And in 2010, he graduated and returned to Egypt to sign his first professional contract with the Arab Contractors. In 2012, He had a major car accident that resulted in him staying immobile between physiotherapy and bed for around 6 months. The accident occurred during his third season with the Arab Contractors, so he decided to quit football and shift his career completely.

In 2014, He established the well-known organization BEFIT, that's main aim is to offer Health and Fitness Services to both professional athletes and the general public. It promotes a lifestyle rather than just a normal workout. As well as offering transformative experiences that changes the style and structure of athletes day to day lives. It was a great achievement starting with 6 sessions a week to sixty and from a team of 1 instructor to 12 and the fact that the business is now present in two different arenas. Its still a growing business but with hard work and consistency any dream could come true.

The youngest World Squash Champion, Nour El Sherbini

Nour el Sherbeiny is one of the egyptian legends in squash. She was born on the 1st of november, 1995 and raised in Alexandria, Egypt. She started playing at age of 6 and by the time she was 8, she started participating in tournaments. Omar el Sherbini, her brother, was the reason behind her interest in squash. As well as, her father, who was a football player.


The young champion made history in 2009, where she became the youngest World Junior Champion at age 13. At age 14, she broke into the world´s top fifty and announced her first tour Title at the Heliopolis Open in 2010. A year later, she won the Alexandria International Open title  and became the first 16 year old to win two WISPA tour titles. As of 2012, El Sherbini shocked the world when she made it to the British Open final but unfortunately lost to Nicole David. At the Greenwich Open in 2013, El Sherbini achieved her third World Junior Championship. And in 2014, she became the youngest player to reach a World Championship after defeating David in the final and narrowly losing to Laura Massaro. And finally, In 2016, this was her breakthrough year as she became the first female Egyptian to lift the iconic British open crown.



Swimming world champion: Farida Osman

Farida Hesham Osman she was born in Indianapolis in January 18, 1995, and after her birth she moved to her parent’s homeland in Egypt. She is a competitive swimmer who has represented Egypt in the international championship she competes in butterfly, freestyle and backstroke sprint events. She starts swimming at the age 5 with her brother.
She said that : “she started to fall in love with swimming right from the beginning; just being in the water makes me feel really good”.
She joined the Olympic game at the age 17. She recorded the 41sth in the 100m freestyle and 43rd in the 50m back and 33rd in the 50m butterfly and also 42nd in the 100m butterfly and 46th in the 100m IM. She won 50m freestyle she also the Egyptian record holder in the 100m freestyle and butterfly. She won at the 2011 FINA world junior championships. She ranks the 24th in the 100m butterfly and 40th in the 100m freestyle. She represented Egypt at the 2011 Olympic Games in London. She had a successful meet at 2013 FINA world championships. She scored 7th position in the 50m butterfly setting the African record. She also achieved 24th in the 100m butterfly and 40th in 100m freestyle. She ranks the 41st plays at the games in 50m freestyle. She was a member of a 2015 Pac championship team. She participated in NCAA women championships. Farida has rebelled against difficulties in order to make an impact in one of Africa’s afterthought sport.
Farida is considered as a remarkable symbol to look up to cause of her achievement in the field of swimming. She is one of few female swimmers in Africa that won an Olympic medal. She is a compatible person and that what made her a successful person not only in the field of swimming but also in her personal life.
